I painted this piece as a view of Christmas through a child’s eyes. It combines symbols we have known since childhood, often without questioning them anymore. I am interested in the contrast between innocence, strong icons, and the chaos of the surrounding world. Christmas is not shown as a perfect image, but as a mix of emotions, memories, and wishes.
