    This painting is about the contrast between poverty and wealth. On one side, the Bronx as a symbol of the street and lack; on the other, a world of money, luxury, and fairy-tale riches. I am interested in how close these two worlds can be, yet how differently life is lived within them. The pop art style allows me to show this contrast with exaggeration and distance.
